Policies General
- All classes follow an academic year (September to May) that
is progressive in nature. A summer session is also offered.
- For the benefit
of all students, classes are closed to viewing. Open houses for parents
are scheduled throughout the year.
- Students should arrive and depart within
five to ten minutes of class start
and end times. We have limited changing room space, so please arrive
prepared, if possible. (However, please do not wear your dance
shoes outside the studio!)
- PAA reserves the right to cancel or shorten the length of any class
with insufficient enrollment (three students or less). In case of
cancellation, please have an alternative class in mind.
Placement
- Advancement to a higher level is determined by year-end
placement and at the director's discretion.
- Students remain in the same class and level for the entire year. Any
changes must be approved by the director.
- A written evaluation will be given annually to all students to keep
them aware of their progress and recommended class placement.
Pricing & Payment
- Tuition is non-refundable. In
the case of accident, serious illness or injury. Requests for a medical
credit must be made in writing and accompanied by a physican's note
stating the inability to continue classes. The medical credit will be
considered only from the date which it was reported to the PAA office
(not the teacher). All credits are subject to a $10.00 administration
fee.
- Tuition
Payments can be paid by check or money order (cash not accepted). Our payment plan is available for all
customers. The first installment is 50% of the total tuition (due by
the first day of the semester) and the second is the balance, due
mid-semester. Payment of the registration fee and tuition will guarantee
your place in class.
- Registration fees and costume costs
are non-refundable under any circumstances.
- There are no sibling
or family discounts
for dance and theater classes. Discounts for multiple hours of dance
per student per week are built into our pricing structure.
- Credit cannot be issued for
missed classes.
Attendance & Make-Ups
- Missed classes can be made up in a
similar class during the same semester. If a student will be absent,
please call the studio prior to the start of class.
Students may
not be absent within the last three weeks of the spring semester in
order to perform in the recital.
Classes canceled by the studio due to weather or other circumstances
can be made up in a similar class during the same semester.
