TAP & Burn
Who says exercise can't be fun?!
Check out this new, hip way to get fit with your friends! Medium
to high impact aerobic class, though all exercises may be
modified to fit your needs. No experience necessary. Tap shoes
optional. |
Ballet Workout
Pilates-based
stretching and strengthening class, not a ballet class!
Non-impact, gentle exercise regimen that focuses on placement
and lengthening the muscles. Appropriate for all fitness and
dance experience levels. |
Dance 4 Life
It's time to
take your health back and get that body moving! From the
Charleston to the Cha-Cha, we'll hit all the decades and every
dance style imaginable in our low to medium impact class. No
experience necessary. |

Ballet & Pointe
Ballet is the basis for all the other
dance, and we offer excellent training for girls and boys. All
students are taught French terminology, as well as being exposed to
the major ballets, significant dancers and important choreographers.
Classes are carefully planned to allow students to reach their full
potential. Our
ballet program also features Pointe Preparation (ages 10+), Pointe
(girls ages 12+ who are physically ready), and our Pilates-based stretching and
strengthening Ballet Workout classes.

HIP-HOP
The magnetic allure of hip-hop
dance has become more and more prevalent in areas outside of urban-based
cities, and we are excited to welcome our highly
qualified instructors of both the movement and historical culture of
hip-hop. You won't want to miss these positive, exciting and authentic
classes!

Jazz Dance
Flexibility,
center placement, clean lines, multiple turns, leaps and the ability to
quickly transmit combinations from the brain to the body are the nuts
and bolts of jazz technique. Our program includes all this plus training
in the greatest styles of American Jazz dance, including Giordano, Fosse
and more! Students are taught strong jazz fundamentals along with the
latest lyrical and contemporary trends. To accomplish an advanced level,
students should supplement their jazz with a ballet class.

Tap
PAA features the absolute highest quality training available for
all ages! Come tap your toes with the finest
teachers in Pennsylvania and "dig" into our comprehensive curriculum while
learning about this classic American art form and its global community. Our
methods allow students from an early age to have a solid understanding of
what tap dancing is all about. It is not just making noise; it's learning
about rhythm, sound, technique, style and making music with your feet!

Theatre
Baby, take a bow!
With movie musicals and dance productions making a
comeback in Hollywood and on Broadway, dancers who can sing and act (also
known as "triple threats") are
highly valued in the industry! Our Stage & Screen classes expose
actors to all those great movies and musicals that you love -- from Cats to
Singin' in the Rain to West Side Story. What a great way
to improve self-confidence, encourage exploration, foster creativity and learn the skills needed to make it in the
"Biz"!

Social Dance & Ballroom
Why should the kids have all the fun?
Imagine gliding across the
floor in your sweetheart's arms, cutting a rug to Benny Goodman or Brian Setzer, or two-stepping the night away to your country favorites. PAA
offers Social Dance & Ballroom classes designed to teach adults to
dance... HAVE FUN! We teach basic partnering and all the great moves
you'll need to twirl the night away. We'll even teach you to slow dance
with the grace of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Classes are quick enough
to keep it movin' and slow enough to allow for plenty of practice time.
Don't think you have enough rhythm? Don't worry -- if you can walk,
you can dance!
Have a wedding in your future?
We can teach the entire wedding
party, from the happy couple to proud moms and dads!

Coast Swing
A beginning swing class that covers the basics from basic
open and closed positions to simple triple step patterns. Does not
include Lindy Hop. Please call for more information. |
Two-Step
What a great way to impress your friends -- nothing like a
little two-stepping at your next function! Grab a few friends and
learn the basic footwork and technique, as well as
simple holds like the basket and side-by-side. |
Ballroom
Basics
Learn how to lead and
follow and to navigate the dance floor. Includes practice time in the studio
with your partner and lots of little tips. We'll even teach you how to dip
your partner! |
Wedding
preparation
Bring the whole wedding
party! What better way to prepare for your reception than with a quick
bootcamp approach to social dancing? Learn the basics of leading and
following, some simple techniques for those dreaded slow songs, and even a
little swing! Class is tailored to fit your needs and your timeframe and may
be taught by one or two instructors. Private lessons are also available for
couples wanting to work on their first dance. Call for more information. |

Classical
Ballet Workshop
This program is designed
to teach dancers the joy, grace and discipline found in the world of
ballet. Dancers will work on everything from fine-tuning their technique
to learning beautiful new choreography. Daily schedule includes full-length ballet
technique class, jumps and turns, and even a special session on dancer
nutrition and health! We'll also explore the exquisite ballet "Paquita",
about a gypsy girl and her true love! Don't miss this terrific chance to
grow as a dancer! |
So You Think You Can tap
A one-day, all-tap workshop for experienced tappers who just can't get
enough tap! Schedule includes: rudiments and fast footwork,
improvisation, original Broadway choreography, and more! Don't miss this concentrated study
with Broadway hoofer and choreographer Sarah Mason. |
