Having studied the art of dance since the age of four, Ashley Metz is a very well-rounded and accomplished dancer in the areas of ballet, pointe, lyrical, tap, jazz, modern, hip-hop, acrobatics, gymnastics, musical theater, and Irish step dancing/clogging. She received her training at The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, The Elite School of Dance by Elena, and The Pennsylvania State University, where she is currently pursuing a Dance Minor. She has also studied with many of the dance world’s most talented professionals through the New York City Dance Alliance, Dance Power Express National Dance Convention, and the Dance Educators of America National Dance Convention. Ashley was a member of the award-winning competition group Elena’s Dancers Elite and competed at many recognized Regional and National competitions in the United States. Ashley greatly enjoys teaching the art of dance to today’s youth and was a student teacher for many years. Having much experience in dance performances throughout the state, Ashley is also a member of Tapestry, Penn State’s Tap Dancing Company where she serves as Secretary, THON co-captain, and active choreographer. |
